The mystery walks are an outdoor escape room combined with a mystery tour. They are done using a mobile app.
For each one, there is a story with an overall mystery to solve. To do this, you solve puzzles to unlock each direction of a walking route.
Each step of the way there are detailed walking directions and live map showing where you're headed to next.
The puzzles also gradually build up a set clues to solve the overall mystery when the end of the walk is reached.
The puzzles are designed for adults although children may enjoy helping to spot clues and helping to solve some of the easier ones.
Every puzzle has a ladder of hints starting from harder and progressing to very easy to cater for a range of aptitudes.
A mystery typically takes around 3 hours to complete. It's not a race so you can take your time, take photos, stop for refreshments etc. and have a nice day out.
The price (per group) is £14.99. It can be done all in one day or split over two.
Once a mystery has been downloaded, it runs completely offline using GPS with no need for a phone signal or data/internet connection (it's Cornwall-proof).

Whoever put this mystery walk together is an absolute genius!! What a great way to explore a new area. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible and not patronising either. We have never seen our 10 year old run uphill on a walk 😂 and she has declared it one of the best mornings of our 2 week holiday here in Cornwall. Clearly this took a huge amount of effort, passion, imagination and local knowledge which is greatly appreciated. We’ll definitely be trying out another mystery next year.
We had a great time with the family. The game is very well-thought-out, and it's great that you can set your own pace when answering the questions. We've been to Boscastle several times, but this time we visited places that were completely new to us. You get a top rating from us.
My partner and I have just completed our first mystery walk; Falmouth. I have to say, it was fantastic fun for two middle aged people who live in Falmouth.
My friend & I have just completed the Bude mystery walk, our favourite so far! We had great fun solving all the clues to find the answer to the mystery, whilst enjoying a lovely walk around the area & learning all about Bude’s rich history. Once downloaded the walks work offline so no need to worry about a signal. Would highly recommend!
wow, what can I say !! this app is seriously fantastic!! we had a really funny and enjoyable day out with it. I learnt so much. The in app content is amazing, the illustrations and the sound effects too, are brilliant. The time and effort that has gone into this app is easily recognisable. I cannot wait to do another one.
We have now completed two mystery walks - Tintagel and Boscastle - and found both to give us a good walk around each village whilst highlighting some of their most interesting features and fun facts! We found them to engage not just the adults but the kids (9 and 11) too and would highly recommend for something different to keep the whole family entertained on a visit to Cornwall.

Fantastic experience! We did the Tintagel and Newquay walks—both were great fun. The app was easy to use, the storyline was engaging, and without even realising, we walked several miles! A brilliant way to explore while solving a fun mystery. Great for families too!
I've completed 8 so far and can highly recommend all of them; they are all of a similar high standard. Each one takes you on a guided tour of the town you are in often off the tourist path. The whole thing is contained within an entertaining fictional narrative.
Me and a friend have tried a few of these and i have to say, what an innovative way to do an escape room! you can’t get lost, the app will take you to places you might not explore if just visiting for the day. I look forward to doing the rest!
